School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT)

Every student deserves the tools to engage meaningfully in their learning. As an Occupational Therapist, your work directly impacts a childs ability to participate fully in school lifefrom writing and self-care to emotional regulation and independence. Were hiring a full-time, onsite School Occupational Therapist to serve students in a Baltimore-area district for a short-term assignment running from November 2025 through March 2026.
This is an itinerant position across three school sites, primarily serving elementary students, with a few high schoolers on caseload. Services will address fine motor (FM), visual motor (VM), and sensory needs as documented on each students IEP.
What Youll Do

Deliver direct and consultative OT services aligned with IEP goals

Evaluate student abilities and write individualized treatment plans

Work closely with teachers, special education teams, and families

Monitor and document progress across multiple campuses

Support student independence through school-based interventions

Adapt strategies to meet a wide range of developmental and physical needs
Required Qualifications

Masters Degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy

Active Maryland OT License (in good standing)

Previous school-based experience preferred

Strong documentation and time management skills

Ability to travel between three assigned school sites
